Joining a session

This page covers how your clients, and anyone else you invite, join a session: what they see and do from their side. You won't go through this yourself, but knowing their experience helps you point them in the right direction. Nobody needs a Pluto account to join.

The primary client (the child)

The link sent to the primary email is the main way the child joins. Whoever opens that link joins as the client.

Secondary participants

Anyone added as an additional recipient joins as a secondary participant. They could be another parent, a teacher, or a support worker. Pluto makes no assumptions about who they are.

Joining from the link

Clicking the link opens a camera preview, then a waiting room, until the clinician admits them.

Joining with a session code

If they don't have the link to hand, they can enter a short session code instead.

Reconnecting

If they lose connection, they can rejoin quickly during the session.
