Once you and your client are both in the room, a shared set of tools keeps the session running smoothly: a collaborative canvas, each person's character, and a few playful touches alongside the video call itself.
You and your client share a drawing canvas that updates live on both screens. A session can have multiple pages, and you can move between them together.
As the clinician, you have controls your client doesn't: lock the canvas so only you can draw, recentre everyone's view, clear the current page (or all pages), add a new page, and share your screen when you need to show something outside the canvas.
An activity tray sits inside the room. Open it to bring a game or a worksheet onto the shared canvas mid-session; you and your client interact with it together, live. The library grows over time, so it's worth a look whenever a session needs a change of pace.
The room has two views: canvas-led, where the drawing space fills the screen with video alongside, and video-first, where faces take the stage. Flip between them in one click as the session's focus shifts. When anyone shares a screen, the room presents video-first automatically.
Each client has their own character and room, chosen when they were added. These appear on the canvas during the session and give younger clients something familiar and fun to see when they join.
A text chat sits alongside the canvas and video for anything you'd rather type than say out loud. If you'd like a written record afterwards, see After a session for how transcripts work.
A few lighter touches are built in for the room itself: confetti, a countdown timer, and small celebration animations you can trigger during a session.
